CARTA OG — How to Use

Before your first session, fully charge the CARTA OG using the included USB-C cable with a 5V 1–2A adapter (standard Apple or Samsung charging block). Charge until all LEDs illuminate solid green — do not leave charging for more than 2 hours.

Startup

1. 1
   Power on

   Click the power button 5 times. The LEDs will blink 3 times — the number of LEDs indicates charge level (3 LEDs ≈ 75%).

   Select a heat preset

   Press the power button once to activate a preset and begin the pre-session sequence. A blue blinking LED shows the active preset. Press again to cycle through presets. The number of blinking LEDs indicates the preset number (1 LED = Preset 1).

   Start a session

   Double-click the power button to begin heating. LEDs blink blue while heating. When the device reaches the set temperature, LEDs turn solid green.

   Load and inhale

   Load your concentrate (hot start) or cap the unit if already loaded (cold start). Take slow, gentle draws — the slower the draw, the better the vapor stacks.

   Power off

   Click the power button 5 times after your session.

Heat presets

• Preset 1: 550°F
• Preset 2: 660°F
• Preset 3: 770°F

For the best flavor, temperatures in the 400–500°F range are recommended. Use the V Browser app (www.focusv.app) to access custom temperatures below Preset 1.

Loading methods

Cold start

Load concentrate before firing the atomizer. Works best with concentrate types that are easy to work with: cold cure, budder, crumble, diamonds, shatter.

   Load concentrate

   Use a dab tool to place a rice-grain size dab (.1g–.3g) into the bottom of the insert.

   Cap the atomizer

   Place the carb cap on the atomizer.

   Fire the device

   Start your session and inhale as it heats. Cold start provides maximum flavor. Recommended temperature: 400–450°F.

Hot start

Load concentrate after the atomizer has reached the set temperature. Works best with concentrate types that are harder to handle: fresh press, resin sauce.

   Scoop your dab

   Use a dab tool to prep your dab (.1g–.3g) before starting the session.

   Start the session

   Fire the device and wait until the LEDs turn solid green (target temperature reached).

   Load concentrate

   Drop your tool into the insert and hold until the concentrate melts off. Do not stir — let it melt naturally.

   Cap and inhale

   Remove the dab tool, cap the atomizer, and start drawing slowly. Recommended temperature: 450–550°F.
