CARTA Classic — How to Clean
Regular cleaning keeps your CARTA Classic performing well and prevents error codes caused by residue buildup. Clean every 25–50 sessions or when you notice residue on the connection points.
What you'll need
- 70–90% isopropyl alcohol
- 50% isopropyl wipes
- Silicone or glass container for soaking
- Cotton swabs (Q-tips)
- Paper towels
- Optional: funnel for glass top
Everlast atomizer
- 1Remove and disassemble the atomizer
Unscrew the atomizer counterclockwise from the base. Remove the silicone bumper and carb cap tether. Separate the atomizer casing, insert, carb cap, and ceramic lid.
- 2Soak in isopropyl
Place all atomizer components into a container of 70–90% isopropyl alcohol. Set a timer for 5 minutes. If parts are stubborn, submerge the whole assembled atomizer — the isopropyl loosens the reverse threading.
- 3Dry thoroughly
Remove parts, shake off excess, and dry with a paper towel. Set in a sunny spot for 1–2 hours to purge remaining isopropyl before reassembling.
Glass top
- 1Fill with isopropyl
Insert a funnel into the mouthpiece, pour isopropyl until it just covers the percs.
- 2Shake and drain
Stopper the mouthpiece with your finger, shake for 30–60 seconds. Once residue is cleared, pour isopropyl into your soaking container.
- 3Soak and rinse
Stand the glass upright in the container for 1–5 minutes depending on buildup. Rinse thoroughly with water until all isopropyl is removed.
Base
- 1Clean connection points
Use a 50% isopropyl wipe on the atomizer port, gold firing pin, and silicone glass connection. Focus on the gold pin — no wax should remain there.
- 2Detail with cotton swabs
Use a cotton swab with isopropyl to clean inside the atomizer port. Dry completely before reassembling.
