AERIS — Replacing the Ceramic Mouthpiece

Updated Jan 10, 2024 2 min read

The AERIS mouthpiece is a two-piece system. The silicone mouthpiece comes with the ceramic insert already installed — it attaches to the AERIS body magnetically and pulls straight off. The ceramic insert cools vapor before it reaches your mouth and can be removed for cleaning or replacement.

Removing the ceramic insert

  1. 1
    Power off and let cool

Click the V button 5 times to power off. Wait at least 2 minutes after your last session — the ceramic retains heat.

  2. 2
Remove the silicone mouthpiece from the AERIS body

Grip the silicone mouthpiece and pull it straight off the AERIS. It detaches from the magnetic connection and comes off as a single unit with the ceramic insert still inside it.

  3. 3
    Push the ceramic out

Hold the silicone mouthpiece with the mouth opening facing you. Place both thumbs on the mouth end (where you inhale) and push firmly inward. The ceramic insert will pop out from the other end. The mouth-end opening gives you the leverage needed — push from there.

  4. 4
    Set the ceramic aside

Place the ceramic insert on a clean surface. Handle carefully — ceramic is fragile.

Reinstalling the ceramic insert

  1. 1
Align the ceramic with the silicone keys

Look inside the silicone mouthpiece — there are alignment keys (small ridges or notches) on the inside. Line up the ceramic insert so it matches these keys perfectly. Misalignment will prevent it from seating fully.

  2. 2
Push the ceramic back in with both thumbs

With the silicone mouthpiece on a stable surface (mouth end facing down), position the ceramic over the opening and press firmly inward with both thumbs. Apply even, steady pressure — it will click back into its original position when properly seated.

  3. 3
    Confirm it’s fully seated

The ceramic should sit flush with no wobble. If it feels loose or uneven, remove and retry — confirm alignment with the keys before pushing again.

  4. 4
Reattach the mouthpiece to the AERIS

Press the silicone mouthpiece back onto the AERIS body. The magnet will pull it into place.
