CARTA 2 — How to Clean

Updated May 16, 2025 3 min read

Glass top

  1. 1
    Remove the glass top

Pull the glass top straight up from the base. Applying upward pressure with a slight sideways rock helps break the silicone seal. Make sure the device is powered off and cool before removing.

  2. 2
    Fill with isopropyl and shake

Add 70–90% isopropyl alcohol into the glass top (use a funnel if helpful). Cover the openings with your fingers or the silicone stopper and shake for 30–60 seconds. Repeat if heavily soiled.

  3. 3
    Rinse with water

Pour out the isopropyl and rinse thoroughly with clean water until no alcohol smell remains.

  4. 4
    Air dry

Set the glass top upright in a clean area and allow to dry fully before reattaching.

Intelli-Core atomizer

  1. 1
    Remove the atomizer

Grasp the lower cylinder of the atomizer and turn counterclockwise to unthread it from the base. If it feels stuck, run a 15-second session at the lowest temperature to loosen built-up wax, then power off and let it cool completely before removing.

  2. 2
    Soak in isopropyl

Place the atomizer (without any silicone parts) into a container of 70–90% isopropyl alcohol. Soak for 10 minutes.

  3. 3
Clean the cup and contact pins

Use a cotton swab dampened with isopropyl to clean the inside of the atomizer cup and the gold contact pins. Remove all residue.

  4. 4
Air dry completely — no water

Remove from the soak and set in a clean, dry area for 1–2 hours. The atomizer must be fully dry before reinstalling. Never rinse with water — moisture can damage the ceramic and shock the connections.

Base port

  1. 1
    Swab the port with isopropyl

Dip a cotton swab in 70–90% isopropyl alcohol and clean the atomizer connection port on the base. Pay special attention to the gold contact pin — remove any wax or residue.

  2. 2
    Let dry for 60 seconds

Allow the port to air dry for at least 60 seconds before reinstalling the atomizer.

  3. 3
    Reinstall the atomizer

Thread the dry atomizer clockwise until snug. Do not overtighten.
